Superfast Broadband boost for logistics firm

An international logistics firm being slowed down by inadequate internet has seen its productivity boosted by the introduction of superfast broadband by WarwickNet.

RTW Global Trade, a family-owned Leicestershire firm, provides freight transportation services throughout the global markets but was battling life in the slow lane due to poor internet speeds at its Bardon Industrial Estate base.

However, since enlisting Midlands-based internet service provider WarwickNet to provide a business broadband product offering downloads of 40 Mbit/s and 5Mbit/s uploads, the business is now up to speed and seeing its productivity soar.

Neil Mayhew, Director at RTW Global Trade, said:

“Our existing internet was inadequate for our needs, with a slow and unreliable connection. The business, like many others, relies on emails, extensive browsing and commercial use and downloads.

We identified WarwickNet as the only high-speed provider for this location and since making the switch now enjoy a much faster and more reliable service – in the process helping improve productivity.”

As part of its presence, WarwickNet delivers fibre-to-the-cabinet (FTTC) and fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) technologies, with businesses benefitting from business-grade broadband of up to 100 Mbit/s, uncontented Premium Internet Access with unlimited data transfer allowance, gigabit dedicated leased line, as well as hosted voice over IP solutions.

WarwickNet Senior Business Development Manager Hayley Blackburn said:

“As with all of our customers across Leicestershire, we were very happy to help RTW. In this day and age, it’s terrifying to think a business can’t rely on a fast and reliable internet service.

The company deals with businesses across the world, so it was imperative for them to upgrade their provision in order to boost their productivity and build on their position and reputation as a leading international logistics business.”

WarwickNet’s coverage across Leicestershire includes Grove Park, Dodwells Bridge, Sketchley Meadows and Scudamore Industrial Estates, with Whitwick Business Park, Gorse Hill and Beaumont Leys Industrial Estates due to go live in the coming weeks.
