Gigabit Voucher Scheme - Official Supplier

The new Gigabit Voucher Scheme enables you to upgrade your business to full fibre gigabit-capable services for a faster, more reliable connection with free installation worth up to £3,000. This is available with support from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, in partnership with Coventry City Council.

WarwickNet Pre-registered packages

Our packages offer you full-fibre broadband, from £100/month, with up to 1 Gbit/s speeds and unlimited data transfer:

What this means for your business

  • Faster internet access for increased productivity
  • Download speeds starting from 100Mbit/s
  • Unlimited data usage
  • Subsidised capital costs up to £3,000 covered by the Gigabit Voucher

How it works

The key steps are:

  1. Check the eligibility of your business (see below)
  2. Select the right WarwickNet package for you
  3. Get in touch with us
  4. WarwickNet will update DCMS regarding your connection and voucher
  5. Coventry City Council will review and approve your voucher
  6. WarwickNet will then deliver your connections and manage completion through the Scheme portal
  7. Coventry City Council will carry out final checks
  8. You just then need to pay the VAT on the connection and the monthly charges for your new, superfast connection

Find out if your business is eligible

The Scheme is for small and medium size businesses across all those local areas taking part in the market test. More information about the formal definition of a SME can be found here. In summary an SME:

  • Has up to 249 Employees
  • A balance sheet of less than €43 million or a turn-over of less than €50 million

You must not have received more than the permitted amount of de minimis aid in the last 3 years. There’s more guidance on this on the Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme website.

Vouchers help support the capital costs of delivering a new gigabit capable connection to your business premises. If you already have a gigabit capable connection you are not eligible for a voucher. Your new connection must have a minimum speed of 100 Mbit/s and represent at least a doubling of speed compared to the service you have now.

Vouchers are available now. DCMS will stop issuing vouchers when the £2 million fund that was set up for the test phase has been allocated or by March 2019 – whichever is sooner.

How much?

Business vouchers are worth between £500 and £3,000. If your new connection costs less than £500, you will not be able to claim a voucher. If the cost of providing a connection is more than £3,000 then you can “top up”. DCMS cannot pay any VAT or monthly charges. Other conditions apply – see Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme website for full details.
