Extending reach in Derbyshire

Internet Service Provider WarwickNet is set to provide high-speed connectivity to more Derbyshire businesses by extending its reach in Derby and Alfreton.

Following the successful installation of its first fibre-enabled cabinets back in January 2015, at Pride Park, WarwickNet has continued its investment in the county with several more cabinets, thanks to increased demand.

The sites covered are Vernon Gate, Maises Way and City Gate Business Park in Derby and Clover Nook and Greenhills Industrial Estates in Alfreton, which are due to go live in the coming months.

Once the deployment work is complete, the new dedicated cabinets will allow for business-grade broadband of up to 100 Mbit/s, as well as gigabit leased lines, voice services and MPLS solutions, benefitting over 200 businesses who were previously struggling with poor connectivity and technology challenges.

Ben King, WarwickNet founder said:

“In this day and age, it is imperative that organisations have access to high-speed internet to be able to compete on a level playfield. By installing ten additional cabinets across Derby and Alfreton industrial estates, we will be able to tailor connectivity packages to the needs of each individual business – ensuring that they are no longer left to battle with slow, sub-par speeds.”
